ABOUT THE PROJECT AND THE CLINIC
Originally known as "The Dolphin Project. Ireland-Portugal" , now renamed thedolphinproject.eu As well as offering interaction between humans and dolphins, the dolphinarium will also offer DACST (Dolphin Assisted CranioSacral Therapy) using CranioSacral Therapy as the principal therapy, for Children and Adults with Special Needs. Other therapies of course will be on offer from Portuguese, Irish, English, American, Icelandic, and other nationalities qualified in their fields of expertise.
The Heath Wilson Clinic originally took families on a special boat on the River Shannon, interacting with wild Dolphin without entering the water.
We will now work with Dolphins in the open water in Portugal, wearing either wet suits or dry suits as appropriate.
Mike works alongside his wife Heath at "The Heath Wilson Clinic" (www.heathwilsonclinic.com) a Complementary Therapy Clinic in Spanish Point, Co.Clare, Ireland, which is now also setting up a clinic in Ardamine, Co. Wexford, Ireland as well as being the clinic chosen to set up in Cascais, West of Lisbon, to work alongside the proposed Dolphinarium.
We offer many therapies, principally CranioSacral Therapy working on a table as well as in heated swimming pool water. Heath is popularly known as the baby whisperer, for her life changing work with babies and children.
Whilst running "The Heath Wilson Clinic" we were also a stand alone satellite known as the
"Upledger Institute Ireland", responsible for setting up and running the training workshops at all student levels.
The Institute, which is now run by Gerard Swords and Mary Brady- www.upledgerireland.com will be deeply involved training and supplying therapists qualified to work in water with or without the dolphin.
Through our working knowledge of the Upledger Institute (UII) we will use their training expertise as they offer student training in CranioSacral Therapy as well as working in the water, with or without dolphins,
